About 80 km away from El Calafate is the nationalpark Los Glaciares with the glacier Perito Moreno which is 60 meters high and 5km wide.
Due to the fact that the glacier is fast moving there is a good chance to see ice beaking and falling into the water - an experience for eye and ear.
